Sesame Toffee Apple Wedges

This recipe is ideal for Halloween or bonfire of the holiday as an alternative to candy apples. Cut apples into wedges or cubes, making it easier for an entire city block. Chill the apples in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before this recipe.

Ingredients

300 g sugar
50 g sesame seeds

Method

  1. Place sugar in a saucepan with 100-120ml of cold water and simmer, stirring until completely dissolved. Once the sugar dissolves, bring to boil and bubble rapidly until it begins to color.
  2. Meanwhile, with strong scissors, cut on 8 bamboo skewers in half and cut the pointed ends. With a small, sharp knife, cut each apple into 8 wedges and a slice of the core. dry with a paper towel and press firmly on the skewer in each wedge Pat.
  3. After the caramel has set, but still a bit hot, serve slices of apple or sweet style, or in a bowl with a spoonful of sorbet.
After about 10 minutes of apple juice the cut surface of the iris begins to melt, so do not advance. To clean the pan, cover with cold water and boil to melt the caramel. Then drain and wash in hot soapy water
